A Delicious Day!

Well it’s nearly afternoon here in New York. The weather is warm with a cool breeze – and today that reminds me of a baked apple with a bit of heavy cream poured on top! It isn’t a calorie killer but it’s a really great treat.
Wash & core an apple – Rome, Cortland, Macintosh – fill it with cinnamon, raisins, a bit of sugar (or some honey, or brown sugar, or sugar sub of choice – it’s an “ish), and you can add a dot of butter (or butter sub). Stick it in a pan with about 1/4” water and bake in an oven at 375° for 20-30 minutes (or until apple is soft).
Put some ice cream or whipped cream or heavy cream over it and you’ve created a sweet treat that compliments this sweet day – warm with a cool topping! An apple a day and all…
