Fall Into Autumn! Pumpkin Spice Kisses!
It’s Autumn! It makes me so happy. Not only does it start the beautiful cool weather and tapestry of leaves, but it harkens to pumpkin delights adorning the shelves of every food merchant.
Pumpkin spice has always been a favorite of mine. Pie, ice cream… you name it! But I’ll only ever indulge once the temperature dips below 70° after the last day of Summer.
We barely got into the season when I was happily charged with making white chocolate truffles, chocolate kisses/brigadeiros, and coconut kisses for a funky bohemian-themed bridal shower of my friend Barbara’s fabulous daughter, Morgan. As I got to the task at hand, it occurred to me that to really celebrate the day, there might be a variety I could create to take advantage of the flavor of the season… PUMPKIN SPICE KISSES!
Here’s how:
I had no idea how it would turn out but faithfully completed the batch – and yes, this was the morning of the party and it was the final bunch to complete my platters. They looked gorgeous… ready to go… but the time had come to taste them… and WOW! They were so good I exclaimed out loud with abandon! Sooooooo yummy!
It seems butter and sweetened condensed milk base can create any flavor delight of kisses. I love having a dessert that can be created so easily… so quickly… and be so well received. You can bet you’ll see more coming along but for now, I’m sticking with this one. YEAH!

Fall Into Autumn! Pumpkin Spice Kisses!
Ingredients
- • 2 tbsps + 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- • 1-1/2 tbsps pumpkin puree
- • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- • 1/8 tsp cloves
- • 1/8 tsp ginger
- • pinch of salt
- • sprinkles of choice
Instructions
- Melt 2 tbsps butter in a non-stick saucepan over medium-low heat. Add condensed milk then whisk in pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, & salt, stirring constantly. After about 10 minutes, the mixture will thicken – you’ll see the bottom of the pan.
- Use some of the remaining butter to coat a dinner plate. Pour the mixture onto it and spread evenly. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Wash your hands well then butter them. Spoon about 1 tsp of the mixture into your hands and roll into a ball, then roll and cover with sprinkles.
