Nothin’ Could Be Finer…

After having a stressful meeting first thing today, and emerging from it in a great place, our appetites were something out of The Little Shop of Horrors screaming “Feeeeed Me!”

We were on Long Island, NY going through Carle Place on Old Country Road and came upon the greatest diner ever – Thomas’s Ham ‘N’ Eggery Diner!

It is how a diner should be – no neon, no seafoam or mauve. Just clean booths, amazing staff, and delicious food. A real neighborhood joint.

Marc had the Nova Scotia Lox, Eggs & Onions with Rye Toast & Hash browns. A cup of coffee. I had the Fontina & Pancetta Frittata – Pancetta, Zucchini, Tomato, Potato, Fresh Basil, & Fontina Cheese perfectly cooked and browned. Our food was served in a metal skillet – totally in love! I have no really perfect descriptive words for it besides YUMMMMMM… it was big and flavorful and incredible. What a delectable flavor combination! As you can see, I did quite a good job on it – so delicious that I didn’t even think to take a picture until this point! Haha!

Watching the dishes going to the other tables made me want to camp out there for a few days and sample everything. It really is a special place.

They’re open for Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner.  If you’re in or around Carle Place, you must stop in. You will be so happy you did!
