Outlandish Oatlander! Scottish Oatcakes to Celebrate Outlander Season 3!

Ingredients
• 2 cups rolled oats + 1 tbsp
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 4 tbsp butter
melted
• 1/2 cup water
Instructions
Add 2 cups oats to a blender/food processor and pulse briefly to create a finer texture.
In a bowl, mix oats, baking soda, and salt. Incorporate the butter.
Mix in the water a little at a time to create a stiff dough.
Dust rolling surface with remaining oats and roll out dough about 1/2” thick. Use a biscuit cutter (or the top of a glass) to cut out rounds.
Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes, or until they’re golden brown. Let cool and enjoy!
Notes
You can use Scottish or Irish-style steel cut oats and skip pulsing them in the food processor/blender.
